DM Yearly Schedule

See below - specific dates for graduating students (fall and spring semesters) and non-graduating (returning) students


Spring 2017

January 4, 2017:

• Spring semester course folders are created
• Faculty and TF’s are given access to these folders
• Studio workstations are re-imaged - all work saved locally is deleted

January 11, 2017:

• “Sept to Dec Temporary Space” share deleted - this share is not archived

January 13, 2017: (day before start of the spring semester)

• Printing, laser cutting, and equipment access removed
• Workstation registration - open for online registration
• Laser cutter access - available after online registration
• Equipment checkout - available after online registration
• Printing/plotting - available after online registration
• 3D printing - normal rates apply
• Fall semester required and elective courses are no longer available to students - content in folders are archived and cleared from storage
• Spring semester required and elective courses are available to students
• “Jan to Aug Temporary Space” share created
• All Students get access to all elective course shares
• Students are added to required course shares
• 3rd year M-Arch 1 and all M-Arch 2 students get access to all advanced studio shares
• Billing submitted to Bursar - Students, Faculty, and Staff

January 18, 2017: (noon)

• Login access removed for all workstations that have not been registered - register workstation to regain login access

January 30, 2017:

• Access to studio, required, and elective course shares are adjusted to reflect registration of courses

March 2017: (Following Studio Mid Review Week)

• Billing submitted to Bursar - Students, Faculty, and Staff


Students who Graduate in February 2017:

January 13 2017:

• Printing accounts are locked - final billing submitted
• If you still need to print, you can pre-pay for printing through the 3rd floor business office
• 3D printing will remain active - summer rates apply. You need to prepay through the 3rd floor business office.
• Laser cutter access - removed
• Access to equipment checkout - removed
• Access to 4th floor CNC tangent cutter – removed

May 18, 2017: (6:00am)

• Door access to 4th, 5th, and 7th studio floors removed, login access to studio workstations on these floors are removed
• Login and door access to SB computer lab will remain active
• Login and door access to 6th floor and 6th floor computer lab will remain active
• Draft plotter and Photocopier Moved to 4th floor back studio lobby (next to Mimaki cutter)

June 1, 2017:

• Schools In-House Storage “Z” Drive is retired.
• Files will be archived.  These files can be recovered until June 2017 for a fee.

July 3, 2017: (6:00am)

• Login and door access to 6th floor removed
• Login and door access to SB computer lab will remain active

August 18, 2017: (noon)

• All login and door access will be removed, NetId’s become inactive
• Access to 3D printing - removed


Students who Graduate in May 2017: (3rd Year M-Arch 1, 2nd Year PP, Seniors, and graduating MED students):

May 17, 2017: Noon

• Printing accounts are locked - final billing submitted
• If you still need to print, you can pre-pay for printing through the 3rd floor business office
• 3D printing will remain active - summer rates apply. You need to prepay through the 3rd floor business office.

May 18, 2017: (6:00am)

• Door access to 4th, 5th, and 7th studio floors removed, login access to studio workstations on these floors are removed

July 18, 2017

• Visualization 1 course is available to students enrolled in course
• Digital Media orientation for Visualization 1 students

August 21, 2017:

• New incoming students Multi-factor authentication is activated

August 23, 2017:

• Fall semester course folders are created
• Faculty and TF’s are given access to these folders
• Retrospecta folders archived and contents deleted from share- Read only access to archive for existing editors. new Retrospecta editors added when determined.
• Digital Media orientation for all incoming students not enrolled in Visualization


Fall 2017

August 30, 2017: (8:00am)

• 7th floor studio access to undergraduate students only
• Access to undergraduate workstations for undergraduate students are restored
• Visualization 1 and Building Project course folders are no longer available to students - content in these folders are archived and cleared from storage
• “Jan to Aug Temporary Space” share deleted - This share is not archived
• “Sept to Dec Temporary Space” share created
• All Students get access to all elective course shares
• Students are added to required course shares

• Printing/plotting - available after online registration
• 3D printing - normal rates apply

September 6, 2017: (noon)

• Login access removed for all workstations that have not been registered - register workstation to regain login access

September 18, 2017

October 2017 (Following studio mid review week)

December 2017 (Following studio final review week)
